Standard chartered marathon

The weather was great!it didn't rain at all throughout the whole event,despite the fact that it is the monsoon season now.

The padang was really packed an estimated number of 60,000 people took part in the marathon.60,000 does not even include the number of supporters so yeah you can tell that there was really a huge crowd there.All the supporters were high in spirits cheering for their friends or family.

There were tentages like the kids zone for children to have fun.There was free snacks and cotton candy there as well as mini stage games.My brother and sister participated in the kids dash.It was a 750m race catered for kids.Kids aged 6years and below could be accompanied by their parents too.Its really heartwarming to see little kids aged 3 or younger holding hands of their mum/dad running the race.No matter how old or young you are you can always take part in something.The kids dash does not have winners.Its just a race to give children a sense of accomplishment.

Dad signed up to go for the half marathon but he did not turn up because he was down with a very bad flu.He was rather disapointed.

I'm planning to take part in the 10km race next year.What spurs me to go for it is the fact that even old folks take part.If they can do why can't i?
